CHARITY CYCLE RIDE TO ALL THE RUGBY CLUBS IN NORFOLK

Alongside over eighty other riders, Mark Loveday and friends are cycling over 300 miles across the highways and byways of Norfolk between 8th-10th September in a bid to raise a life changing amount of money for local, Norfolk based charities. These charities include Wooden Spoon, BUILD, Nelson’s Journey and Special Olympics Norfolk with every penny staying within our wonderful county. Here is their website:
It’s a pretty tough challenge, but one to which they are all committed and have been training hard.
They are visiting every rugby club in the county over the three days and would very much appreciate your support in helping them to make a difference in the lives of people less fortunate than ourselves.
If you feel able to support him (or anyone else on the run) and would like to make a donation, here is the link to their BT Donate website
If you could leave a comment and mention the name of the person you are supporting, it would help them to keep a record of your donation and to keep you in touch. Don’t forget to add the Gift Aid if appropriate.
Mark's final comment reads "In advance, thank you for your time and hopefully for your support. I will keep you in touch as the ride approaches. Together we can make a difference."

PRE SEASON TRAINING VIDEO

Coach Jonny O'Brien put a video together of the squad having some fun in pre season. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Jonny on jonnyob50@hotmail.com

Obviously the communications officer had nothing to do with this otherwise there would have been a hard rock soundtrack, stuck as he is in the 1970's!

Click on the image below and it will direct you to our Facebook page which is where the video is posted...hopefully!

TONY HADLEY  - LIVING THE DREAM

If you wondered where former 1st XV player and youth coach Tony Hadley has got to of late, he and Sharon relocated to a fabulous 24 Acre plot in rural Scotland. They welcomed a couple of old club friends on a flying visit. We are assured that locating right in the heart of distillery territory is purely coincidental (He's near Dufftown). Both are well and living the dream and have a fabulous holiday let next door. He's booked until November but if you are planning a holiday up there next year, CLICK HERE for details

CLUB CLEAN UP DAY

A big thank you to all of you who attended the clean up day. It was great to see so many there and particularly a lot of the senior players pitching in. My sense is everyone enjoyed it , there was great enthusiasm and hard work to put the pride back into our clubhouse and ground.A special thanks goes to Mark Bartram who yet again provided the crucial equipment to help us make a difference.
You will also see that the car park has been levelled again this summer and a big thankyou to Billy Littleboy at Longwater Gravel who supplied the crushed asphalt and to Alan Jones for providing the machinery and manpower to complete the job it is very much appreciated. Our facilities are looking good for the start of the season and will make a great impression on our visitors and sponsors.

Bob Annable - Chairman
