MESSAGE TO MEMBERS FROM CHAIRMAN BOB ANNABLE
Dear member you may have read an article in the local press that our relocation plans are on hold until we resolve an issue with Norfolk CC Highways. This article results from a leak to the press at a delicate time in our discussion s with various interested parties which is very disappointing. The source of that leak is unknown.
That said we are where we are and the article is correct in outlining our current challenges to progress our relocation plans. We will keep you posted of developments and if you have any questions then either myself, Andy Pott or Steve Henson will be happy to answer them.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS NORFOLK - QUIZ NIGHT
You may recall the awesome 300 mile cycle ride last season organised by Norwich Rugby Club's Mark Loveday and friends and supported by many other clubs and cyclists. It raised a huge amount of money in support of worth charities in Norfolk. One of those beneficiaries was Special Olympics Norfolk. The funds raised made a huge difference to the members of the Special Olymics team and it was very emotional seeing them at the club to welcome the riders home. Katie Loveday also organised a quiz night last season specifically in support of that charity. Katie is organising another one on Friday 12th October. Details on the attached flyer.

HOW AWESOME IS THIS?
Our latest main club sponsor, Scott Timber Buildings has installed two custom made dug outs at the club which will be welcomed with great enthusiasm by the players and officials as the winter draws in. We are indeed very fortunate to be the recipients of such great quality dugouts for the players. Thanks Tristan and PJ.
LEE PARRY - OUR NEW HEAD COACH
Norwich Rugby Club is delighted to announce the appointment of their new head coach, Lee Parry who replaces Jonny O'Brien who left for family reasons.
Director of Rugby David Everitt said “Lee comes highly recommended as a forward thinking coach who puts great emphasis on player development above all else and is a thoroughly ‘great guy’. He has played and coached at a high level and brings with him the knowledge that will take us forward in our ambition to improve our standing in the Eastern Counties and beyond. He is very enthusiastic about his rugby and is looking forward to helping the players and the team move forward and achieve their objectives."
Lee was a player at Nuneaton Rugby Club (level 3) and Coventry Rugby Club (level 2). An Injury aged 22 forced him to retire from playing full time, where he went into teaching and coaching. He moved to Norfolk 7 years ago where he joined the RFU.
Lee is currently a level 3 coach, and coach educator having also completed the director of rugby course. He has coached for about 12 years from National League to community coaching in schools. Recently he was the DOR at West Norfolk and helped guide Ipswich to promotion when they won London 2 to London 1.
He said “I found the club to be very welcoming, the ethos of players is very ambitious and they are keen to learn and develop which is great to have from a coaching perspective. Our pre season programme has just got underway to be followed by some very competitive pre season fixtures.
