A REMINDER TO EVERYONE FROM THE SECRETARY
Referees at our level are amateurs who give up their time to enable matches to take place. They all do their best to avoid mistakes but even at the top professional level with assistant referees on both touchlines and recourse to video replays they still don’t always get everything right. That doesn’t however mean that they can be abused by players, coaches, team managers or spectators.
Please understand that the Eastern Counties Disciplinary Panel can sanction a club and not just the individuals who carry out the abuse. These sanctions include fines, the deduction of 1st Team league points and automatic relegation.
The situation for one club in Ireland is even worse as referees refuse to referee at the club because of consistent abuse and without a referee there is no game.
Two of the core values of our game are respect and discipline. We need everyone to abide by these values.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS NORFOLK - QUIZ NIGHT
You may recall the awesome 300 mile cycle ride last season organised by Norwich Rugby Club's Mark Loveday and friends and supported by many other clubs and cyclists. It raised a huge amount of money in support of worth charities in Norfolk. One of those beneficiaries was Special Olympics Norfolk. The funds raised made a huge difference to the members of the Special Olymics team and it was very emotional seeing them at the club to welcome the riders home. Katie Loveday also organised a quiz night last season specifically in support of that charity. Katie is organising another one on Friday 12th October. Details on the attached flyer.
Because it has had to be converted from PDF to .jpeg for website, we have lost the ticket ordering hyperlink. Please copy this link into your browser to buy tickets.
