RFU SUSPENDS ALL RUGBY ACTIVITY
Following Government advice, the RFU has suspended all rugby activity in light of the Coronavirus. It has been suspended, initially until 14th April but realistic expectations will be longer.
Following the announcement by the PM last evening the Committee has agreed to cancel/postpone the Annual Dinner on Thursday the 7th May 2020 at OPEN. Depending on the progression of COVID-19, we may try to re-arrange for Sept/Oct as this is a significant fund-raiser for the Club.
Apologies for any arrangements or invites you may have arranged but we believe this is the correct course of action in the current climate.
Any concerns or issues, please let me know. Please contact me for any payments already made.
DEATH OF NIGEL HOWES
We were saddened to hear of the death of former 1st XV winger Nigel Howes on 15th March. Nigel played for the Club in the late 1960's & early 70's and was well known to older members. He had been unwell for some time. The condolences from all at the Club are extended to his widow Pat and all his family and friends.
Funeral details as we get them.
TBC as now (obviously) subject to Coronavirus implications...
