ANDY POTT AWARDED ECRU VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

Andy Pott.jpg

From the Chairman Bob Annable:

I am delighted to let you know that Andy Pott has been confirmed as the winner of the Eastern Counties Volunteer of the Year Award for 2017. He will be presented with his award at the Eastern Counties Annual Dinner at Shelford Rugby Club on the 30th June.

You are all aware of the contribution Andy has made to Norwich Rugby Club over the years and last year in particular where he took on Five key roles in addition to coaching our under 13s. His commitment to the Club has been immense. This is clearly a well deserved award and it is great that his commitment to Norwich has been recognised by Eastern Counties.

His Support continues as our Honorary Secretary and Membership Secretary but more notably as our Club President for next Season which I know he is very much looking forward to.

I am sure you will all be delighted to join me in congratulating Andy on his well deserved award.'

NEXT SEASON'S 1ST XV FIXTURES

With summer ahead, probably the last thing you want to think about is next season but, if it helps your planning, the 1st XV fixtures are now posted on the appropriate page. They sit below last season's fixtures which will remain until we delete the match reports. We won't do that just yet because it makes the website look a bit bare. Cup details TBC.

END OF SEASON SUCCESS FOR TOUCH RUGBY & UNDER 15 SQUADS

Congratulations to the Touch Rugby team who won their final on the Saturday of the Norfolk Big Rugby Weekend at Holt. That's two years on the trot. Well done. The Under 15's prevailed against North Walsham at the same event on Sunday when they won their plate final 38:17, their second silverware of the season having also won the plate at the Colchester festival, which was their first ever trophy. A very good launch platform to kick on next season. Very well done to all.
