Minis Reports 15th March

The under 7's had a fantastic turn out this weekend despite media pressure against organised events. We had the best weather for the match against our friendly opposition and managed to have 2 pitches running with 6/side and a few spare in the wings!

The children were very keen to get stuck in to the matches and both sides fared equally against each other. Good performances from Rufus, Jackson and Reggie provided the strength of the team.

This weekends fixture ended with a mass brawl of bulldog including the North Walsham children! There was a sombre moment at the prospect of this being the last fixture for a while and those who were unable to attend were missed. (Note 2nd coaches stretched out arm in team photo missing his buddy Ben)

Best wishes to everyone whilst the country navigates its way through the latest crisis.

A bright morning, saw 25 U9's from Norwich and North Walsham compete in a number of very evenly matched games.  Both teams produced good rugby and were all keen to work on areas of their game.  Both sides were attentive to referees and coaches guidance and all showed the core values of our much loved game.

In uncertain times, it felt good to get out and enjoy a good morning of rugby.  Special mention should go to Adam, who as Captain of one team led from the front and shined with the increased responsibility.   Charlie and Marcus were demons in defence and Ben, Louis, Oscar and Barney all ran in great tries.  I can't mention everyone, but all should be proud of their morning's work.

If, as it appears, this is to be the last rugby of season, what better way to finish than with a good natured morning with our friends from up the road!
