Minis Reports from the Lakenham Festival

Under 7’s Festival Report

Last weekend the Under 7’s team attended the Lakenham Festival. We had a great turn out in terms of player numbers, and the weather was glorious!

We managed to produce 2 Under 7’s playing teams with some additions from Swaffham who were unable to produce a full team of their own, so in the spirit of good sportsmanship they happily joined in the festivities as guest NRFC players.

Overall we can happily report both teams performed exceptionally well with a fair spread of tries being produced by all of our players. There was clear evidence of the teams fantastic development being led by our very motivating (and amusing) coaching team.

The children are making great progress individually as well as a collective team and it forecasts an exciting season still ahead of us.

Under 10 Report

The U10s had a statement weekend inspired by England's win. Everyone played very well (still plenty of room for improvement) and we left our mark with all the teams we played. Owing to the unusual festival schedule we didn’t play the two games we really wanted to play – against our closest rivals NW & Wymondham.

A special mention must go to one of the Club's main sponsors, Scott Timber Buildings, who have provided the U10s with a most impressive snack shelter! You cannot miss it.
Thank you to Tristan Scott for his continued generosity.
